HISTORY OF THE JUNIOR SERVICE LEAGUE

GREATER NEW PORT RICHEY

 

The Junior Service League of New Port Richey was organized in February 1971, to establish the standards of the national organization - education and volunteer service - within this area of Florida.

The founder and first President of the newly formed "League", Mrs. Wayne L. Cobb, began functioning in community service with eighteen other charter members:

The "League" approved the first bylaws of the Junior Service League of New Port Richey on February 4, 1971 and on September 18, 1972 the club was incorporated under the State Laws of Florida.
